Pho Dac Biet has recently been accepted to the Austin Asian American Film Festival, November 12-15. It will be played during the Shorts Program I: The Parent Trap, (see the Pho Dac Biet page for more information).

And lastly, Pho Dac Biet was nominated for Best Foreign Animated Short for its foreign content from the Animazing Spotlight Film Festival, Nov 7-8.

So it’s official, me, Bill, Mike, and some friends are going to be at the Arist Alley in Baltimore Comic Con on October 10 and 11. If you’re going to be in the area, be sure to stop by

Also, an update on the status of my film festival submissions: I’m very happy to announce that my film, Pho Dac Biet, has been accepted into two festivals, AniMazing Spotlight Shorts and the Independents’ Film Fest thus far.

I’m also planning on making a trailer for the film to post on my site, but I’m in need of a new computer, so that will just have to wait!

EDIT: I just found out that my film got accepted into the Philadelphia Asian American Film Festival. How awesome is that?

EDIT: Great news! I just got accepted into the DC Asian Pacific American Film Festival! That’s 4 out of 7 =]

EDIT (9/20): Pho Dac Biet was recently accepted into the Los Angeles International Children’s Film Fest!

Due to a problematic situation, I am unable to have my own table at Otakon. But thankfully, Bill and Mike have agreed to share with me so that we can all sit together. We’re going to be at T01 and T02. Be sure to check us out ! ;D

So I’m finally posting that Otakon has officially received payment for my Artist Alley table. On July 17-19, you’ll find me, my boyfriend (Bill Dinh) and fellow artist and friend (Mike Tran) at the Artist Alley of Otakon 2009 in Baltimore, MD. We each have our own tables and I’ll update once I find out which tables we got.

Hi everyone! So I originally sent in my film, Pho Dac Biet, into four film festivals; which cost me a little over $100. Now I just sent in my film into three more festivals…totaling more than $200. Insane. I really hope I get into at least one. Here are the festivals I entered.
